I even confused myself writing this one

Three in a row. One two, two ones, one one: each covered by a set of two fives.

If people get too stumped, I do have a hint which I may be coerced to share.

Hmmm...my guess is both hands covering your face?

It is the monkeys -- see no evil etc.
(Idea inspired by maldrich's answer above)

how bout peek aboo? I don't get the 3 part though......hmmm, hard:) I dunno.........

Ma, close!

And Isaac, I'm SO impressed. I wasn't sure if I'd made it too cryptic. Since you figured it out, you automatically win an oil rig in the north sea. Maybe you can share a lil with Ma. haha... :)

WOW! It would have taken me forever to get it!

Great riddle! Keep it up! :)

Here is one for you...though not quite so creative.

I threw an egg against a wall.
It did not break. It did not fall.

A greasy fried egg?

hahaha...

Actually, strangely enough, I don't seem to have the patience for solving riddles, only for writing them. Go figure...

Have you ever played the game, " Two up, two down, one up/one down"?

Laughter said...

Er... nope. What is it?

Marie said...

who is Ma? Could you 'splain it sometime-your riddle? I don't totally get it? Not connecting stuff....

Laughter said...

Marie, Ma is Maldrich, she commented up there ^^^.

The answer to the riddle is the three monkeys: see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. One generally sees them in a cute little row with hands over eyes, ears and mouth.

Marie said...

ooooooooh I get it! I'll join the other slower people gettin' it. Thanks for your patience.:)

Marie said...

wait wait wait...can you spell out the one two, two ones, one one part...

one one is hands over the mouth right?
....am I proving my stupidity...by commenting again...or should I say questioning again.....
........sigh.......

Claire said...

I'll have to explain the game in person...I think tis easier that way.

Marie, one two: one set of ears. Two ones: two eyes. One one: one mouth. Covered by a set of two fives: ears, eyes, mouth covered by hands.

P.S. You aren't stupid. :-D

Claire, ok. :)

Sonic... ahhh! My head is spinning!

I think I get it alot better now. I had to point to my ears and eyes as I was reading your comment and the blog. Goodness:) I'm very visual and have to have things spelled out. I was reading the words but didn't know how to connect them to actual things.
Thanks:) I learn differently than other children.

Don't worry Marie, I didn't get it either because of the one two, two ones thing.

Thanks for the explanation, Laughter! :)

My pleasure. :)

To Jane T. :

Here is the answer to your riddle, or at least the only answer I can think of. The egg is thrown against the wall of the uterus by the ovaries where is sticks.
