Why would anyone make a foot???!!
Because they figured the rest of the statue would look strange with only one foot.
However, we're not sure where the rest of the statue is...
Do you know HOW MANY stupid pictures of this foot I have???

Glad you got into photography this Israel trip so you could enjoy the thrill of photographing "the foot."
